Are you Ready to TRI in 2026?
Registration will open to the general public on Feb 3, 2026.
The 19th annual TRI for a Cure will take place on Sunday, July 12th and we cannot wait to see YOU. Join this incredible community to swim, bike, and run in support of Maine Cancer Foundation.
Here are the details...
- The 2026 Tri for a Cure will be held on Sunday, July 12 at Southern Maine Community College in South Portland, Maine. Feet in the water at 8:00am!
- Those who wish to participate virtually will have from Sunday, July 12 to Sunday, July 26 to complete their event.
- Registration is $75 and non-refundable.
- Every participant must raise $500 by Thursday, July 9 at 5:00pm. If not met, you will not be able to participate.
- Everyone has until May 1 to withdraw. After that, you will be accountable to the $500 fundraising minimum - regardless of participation status on race day.
- After May 1, 2026 participants will not able to move their registration between the live and virtual events.
- Tri for a Cure is a USAT sanctioned event and therefore each participant is required to hold a one-day USAT membership and sign a USAT waiver. If you do not hold an active USAT membership, you will be able to obtain one within the registration process at no charge to you.

- Spread the word! Tell your friends. Make a plan. Let your family know you are going to have an epic summer.
- Past Participant? Make sure you know your Donor Drive log-in information (email address and password).
- USAT membership -
- If you have an annual membership, please have your member number ready when registering for TRI is year. Double check the expiration date! If it expires before July 12, 2026 it is not considered valid.
- Did you participate last year and got a one-day membership? You will need to do it again! Make sure you know your login information for the USAT site.
- Set your alarm for 6AM on Monday, February 3rd.
